Back home the Wright family savour an amazing four (and a bit) days at Greenbelt. As first timers (for all sorts of reasons we haven't managed it in previous years) there was a distinct possibility that everyone else's hype was too much and the whole thing would be a big disappointment, ha ha!!! Not a chance, this really is a place for all with not just something for all but lots of things for all, we were all utterly spoilt for choice from J (three) to the Grandma of (?) who was in the tent next to ours.
A Christian arts and music festival it certainly is, with so much more... and a positive attempt (actually more than an attempt, a succeeding) to get rid of the secular sacred divide...
Great speakers, sorry I didn't get to talk to you Maggie, see this, but your talk was spot on!
A few pics to capture the flavour of communion with "umpteen" thousand people on Sunday morning (the whole festival activities cease on Sunday morning for communion) as-well as a few other snaps. More on Greenbelt to come...
Well done to Ben (check out his pics too) and the team from Sanctus for putting the communion service together and making it quite something...
A Cold Cut explosion as they show why they are masters at VJing and how we could do liturgy so much more powerfully!
J having a "roaring" time too...
